I recently did the Tennessee Loop Trail at Black Rock Mountain and the views were incredible especially with the fall colors. I also really liked Tallulah Gorge even though it was challenging with all those stairs.
My favorite hiking destinations are at the state parks. In IL, Matthiesen State Park in IL, Indiana Dunes State Park Beach in IN and Grant Park Beach in Milwaukee, WI are 3 of my favorites nearby!
Smoky mountains and F.D.Roosevelt State park in Ga.
