Blodgett Urban Gardens

The Blodgett Urban Garden is a community Garden provided by Texas Southern University to not only provide fresh fruit and vegetables but to also to provide a space to teach hands on techniques about gardening in an urban setting, which includes gardening with limited space. The Blodgett Urban Gardens also provide a research facility for Texas Southern University in the studies of environmental sciences.

The Blodgett Urban Gardens were created to address the problem of food deserts, particularly the one located in the Third Ward area.

Harvests and sells fresh fruits and vegetables every Saturday for pick up
