We’re excited to announce that we are hosting our 2025 Wellness and Waterfalls weekend!
Wellness and Waterfalls weekend is a fun and exciting space for a much-needed breath of fresh air in the outdoors. This campout/glampout weekend is all about having a great time, relaxing, and fostering sisterhood with other Outdoorsy Black Women.
“Wellness and Waterfalls” allows both first-time and seasoned campers to learn from each other, connect with other Outdoorsy Black Women, and create deeper connections with their inner outdoorswoman.
What is Wellness and Waterfalls Weekend?
Wellnes and Waterfalls Weekend is an all inclusive, outdoor retreat experience that offers a variety of accommodations based on guests’ comfort levels, from “Do-it-Yourself” tent camping, to more comfortable Cabin or “Glamping” options with all necessary gear provided and ready for you upon arrival. This 4-day, 3-night retreat will cultivate community, ignite friendships, and provide a safe space for Outdoorsy Black Women to soak in the serenity of all Mother Nature has to offer. This event will be held, rain or shine.
Also, we know it’s Mother’s Day weekend! You’re welcome to come with your daughter/mom or without, lol. Don’t worry, the event will be over in time to spend time with family on that Sunday if you choose to, lol.

2025 Accommodation Options
Are you coming with your girls? With this Glampout option, you get to enjoy the outdoors in comfort and style. Each glamping tent will accommodate up to 4 people.
With our Glampout option you will have a glamped up tent, air or memory foam mattress(es), blankets, rug, linens and front porch area to sit and enjoy nature and the festivities. You will need to bring your own sleeping pillow and battery packs or generator for power. You’ll have access to the shared bathroom facilities.
Everything will be setup and ready for you upon your arrival. Just bring yourself and your personal items!
*When you order, please put all the names of the attendee in the notes. Each attendee will still need to be verified separately on their own account.*

- If you are coming with a friend(s), let us know so we can make sure to get you in the same tent together.

For the ladies who lodge! This cottage option is perfect for you. You get to enjoy all the creature comforts you’re accustomed to and then be outdoors for the activities, lol. Each cottage will accommodate 1 person.
Each cottage comes with everything you need to be comfortable; power, lighting and ceiling fans. And you’ll have access to a shared bathroom facilities.

Who is this event for?
- Any Black women or Afro-WOC who are interested in having a wonderful time and engaging in sisterhood. You will have to be an Outdoorsy Black Women member to attend, if you’re not at the time of registration, you will be asked to sign up. :)
- Must be 21+
- No men, children, or pets allowed.
- This is strictly an event for US ladies, again no husbands, children, and pets lol
- Registered service animals are allowed. Must provide notice and documentation.
I’m not an Outdoorsy Black Women member, can I attend?
- You’ll have to sign up first to be able to register. If your account is unable to be verified, your account will be suspended and registration will be refunded.
What Does My Ticket Include?
Your ticket includes the following:
- Accommodations
- Food
- Entertainment: Paint Party, Winery Tours, Morning Yoga, Education Sessions, Hike, etc
What’s not included?
We will have vendors that will be selling their products and services, those are not included in your ticket: spa services, etc.
How far is the location from Atlanta?
From the Atlanta Airport the distance is 125 miles, so about 2.5hrs driving time.

What is the nearest airport to the location?
From the Atlanta Airport the distance is 125 miles, so about 2.5hrs.
Another option is Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, the distance is between 98 and 134 miles depending on how GPS takes you which is up to 2hr 25 mins.

What are my options for getting to the location?
If you are flying in, the best option would be to rent a car.
Once you register, you are added to a group within the community and you can also connect with other members to organize a carpool.

Will I have a Cottage or Glamping tent all to myself?
Shared cottages and glamping tents are shared accommodations.
Cottages will accommodate 1-4 people max. If you’re booking a group, please let us know so we can keep you together, as long as there is availability.
Glamping tents will accommodate 2 people max. If you’re booking for 2 people, we’ll work on keeping you together as long as there is availability.

What’s the bathroom situation?
There will be shared bathroom facilities available for campers, glampers, cottage and attendees.
We have a combination of outdoor showers, outdoor toilets and full bathroom trailers.
I’ve never camped/glamped before, what should I expect?
You should expect an awesome time! This weekend was created to be an amazing experience for both inexperienced and pro campers/glampers. There is nothing like waking up outdoors to the songs of nature. The cool thing is, we will be there as a group, so if you are feeling unsettled, you can find some peace in knowing you’re among a wonderful community of women!
Is there Wifi?
A cell signal should be pretty decent for most providers. But it would be advisable to bring personal wifi, if needed.
What should I pack?
Everyone has their own preferences, but below are some suggested items to bring along:
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- Clothes for your stay
- Any medication you may need
- Phone charger
- Camera (optional)
- Shower shoes (flip flops, chacos, or similar)
- Sneakers
- Comfortable yoga and meditation clothes
- Toiletries
- Pillow
- Snacks, while meals are included it’s still a good idea to bring your own snacks to hold you over in between meals.

I’ve never hiked before, what should I expect?
No worries, we’ve chosen a trail that all members of all experience levels can participate in. We believe in “no woman being left behind”. The goal is for everyone to make it to the top.
The hike is rated as “easy” and is good for all skill levels.
It will be a guided hike, but we’ll make sure that everyone is comfortable along the way. There are also observation decks for the waterfall at different levels of the hike.
What’s the parking situation?
There is ample parking on this large private property.
There will be someone available on check-in day to direct you to your parking space.
I have dietary restrictions, will there be food options for me?
Yes, we will provide a menu that has a variety of options. There will be something available if you are vegan or vegetarian.
What happens if it rains?
This event will be held, rain or shine. Since we have access to indoor and outdoor spaces we’ll still be able to have an amazing time!
No refunds will be given due to weather.
What is your refund policy?
Due to activities being paid for and covered, we will not be providing any refunds. *No exceptions*
