We all know sometimes we just need a breath of fresh air. Sometimes just getting out for a nice scenic hike can help you decompress and be ready for the world! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced hiker, this is the perfect experience for you. Our monthly hiking meet & greets will be a great way to connect and help you find your squad, all while enjoying what the great outdoors has to offer!
*For safety reasons, we do not post the location of our meet & greets publicly. This information will be sent to verified members only*
For this month’s hike we’re happy to be collaborating with @Vedia, founder of The Vet Space! As the founder of The Vet Space, Vedia works to create opportunities for healing and empowerment by addressing the unique challenges faced by women veterans, helping them begin the journey to live fulfilling and joy-filled lives. This includes providing the opportunity to experience the healing power of nature and the camaraderie found in sisterhood. She is the co-chair of the Black Veteran Caucus at Common Defense, board member of Minority Veterans of America and a life member of Disabled American Veterans.
Vedia Barnett is a disabled Air Force veteran, advocate for women veterans and is a community organizer. She has a Masters degree from George Washington University in Women, Gender & Sexualities with an emphasis on Black women veterans’ health and mental wellbeing.
