Frequently Asked Questions
Simply put, Outdoorsy Black Women is a social network created by a Black woman (Toyin Ajayi) for all Black women. Whether you’re cis, a trans woman, or non-binary and feel comfortable being in spaces that center around experiences of Black women, I wanted to help Black women connect through their love and/or curiosity of all things outdoorsy.

- You are a woman, identify as such or non-binary
- You are of Black/African descent
- You are not a convicted sex offender
- We haven’t previously disabled your account for violations of our Terms or Policies

We currently have a FREE membership option. With the free membership, you will have to pay for meet & greets/events separately . You can directly manage or cancel your membership at any time with no cancellation fees. Our membership is non-refundable and non-transferable. You will get a reminder email a week prior to your renewal charge. You can cancel your renewal prior to its renewal charge.
The app stores charge us for any in-app purchases. We've raised the rate to account for the 30% they charge. It's best to sign up through the website first.
Membership verification is the process we use to make sure each member is who they say they are. This measure is in place to keep the community safe for our members.
Until your account is verified, you will not have full access. Without full access, you will not be able to register for meet & greets, view resources, sign up for events or communicate with other members. Our verification process can take up to 72 hours, however, we usually complete it much faster.
If it's not completed properly, you will be asked to do it again. Your account will have limited access until you do complete it.
Our membership is non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no refunds for partially used membership term periods. You will get a reminder email a week prior your renewal charge. You can cancel your renewal prior to its renewal charge.
You can cancel your membership at any time prior to renewal with no cancellation fees. Once you cancel a paid plan, you'll be downgraded to our free membership option.
With the free membership, you will have to pay for meet & greets/events separately and have limited access to the community.
Your membership will be billed monthly, annually, every 3 years or every 5 years, according to the original date of the start of your membership.
