Groovy Green Escapades takes you an all-day affair that includes a closer look at three of nature’s aspirant and breathtaking waterfalls—All in a Day to Slay. The first Stop is Hemlock Falls, which is an active hiking area in Rabun County, Georgia. This desirable location is approximately two hours from Atlanta.
Hemlock Falls Trail is the quintessential inaugural trip that kicks off the ‘Three in a Day to Slay’ adventure, which includes a scenic waterfall filled valley near Moccasin Creek State Park in North Georgia’s county. The hike is straight forward and comfortable to navigate.
This is considered an ‘in and out’ trial which lends itself to a category of ‘E’. The hike is short but sweet with 2 miles round trip. There will be some slippery rocky steps, so hiking boots and tennis shoes are recommended. The beauty and coolness of the waterfall is its main attraction.
The waterfall blends into the natural scenery which makes the hike even more breathtaking and charming. The cool stream of the picturesque waterfall will be the reinvigoration needed to propel to the next adventure.
Just 30 miles from Hemlock Falls is our next escapade at Georgia’s regal hidden pocket of wonder at Minnehaha Falls Trail. This is also found in the rural part of Rabun County and is a quick half mile trip that includes remarkable winding roads upon entrance. Careful driving is advised upon arriving due to the curving roads; but once here, the circumspection is worth it once view of the cascading waterfall and soft breeze will embrace one’s sense of accomplishment. Minnehaha Falls Trailwaterfall is loftier than Hemlock Falls but still has the same intrinsic impact with the cascading cool breeze that tantalizes and complements the beautiful sides of nature. After absorbing the intensity of Minnehaha Falls Trail, it is off to the finale of the day’s remarkable adventure. There will be only one more waterfall to slay.
Snug and positioned in nature’s pocket of Clarksville, Ga is Panther Creek Falls. Nature’s playground includes an opportunity to wade under the fall. There are two falls in one; however due to tree obstruction, Angel Falls will be temporarily unavailable to hikers. This minor detail does not distract from the overall best experience that this finale trip encapsulates. As with the Minnehaha Falls Trail, the roads are winding so careful transportation is advised. Once at the location, the intensity of nature’s Panther Creek Falls will envelop all of one’s senses. The cascade of the waterfall’s beauty stimulates the invigoration that is intended with Earth’s miracle. The cool breeze is constant and bellows sensory relaxation. It is a fine conclusion to a beautiful day after embarking on the Waterfalls Experience by
